2017 Speculation

Any information whether Ford will be mating the 10-speed transmission up to the 2.7 EB in a 157" SuperCrew 4wd for 2017?

The last I heard, the 10 speed will be a Raptor exclusive in 2017.

Speaking of 2017, the Super Duty will be switching to aluminum body.

Yeah, and they mated a new, weak tranny up to the 2017 F250 with 6.2 engine... that's lame as hell if you ask me

Crap!

The Super Duty looks like they are using the F150 cab and adding cladding to it to make it look wider at the bottom or flared front fenders on the F450 and above to accommodate the wider axle.

I guess I can wait until fall of '16 and order an '18 if they will have the 10 speed finally in the F150.

Transmissions seem to be getting more & more sophisticated. Sounds expensive when they go boom.

So we should go back to a single gear for simplicity sake?

Why not - Buick Dynaflow FTW!

However, I'd rather have a complicated multi-speed transmission than a CVT.

By the way - what makes you say that the TorqShift-G is weak and lame?
