Can anyone tell me what the max payload would be for this model truck? It has the 3.73 RR axle.
In the future we may be using it to tow a boat and it appears it will do fine trailoring a boat just fine. However its primary use would be as a work truck using the bed to haul materials. Our older 5.4 1/2 ton truck is a beast had no problem occasionally hauling 3500lbs!
I don't want to tear up this new 2015 truck up and would like to adhere to its payload limit but between the salesman and the confusing charts, I don't know what that number is? Thanks

And yes, bed squating on the axle was how my husband treated the old truck. I'm trying to educate myself on proper hauling so I can properly nag him to take better care of this truck. Thanks

The internet chart gives an appropriate rating for that cab configuration. The sticker on the door is for that specific vehicle once all options are accounted for so both are technically correct. The salesman won't be able to access the door sticker until after the vehicle is into the build process.
To get a truck loaded to the bump stops you have to put about twice the rated load in it.
