in the ecoboost section there is a lengthy post on take off shudder, mostly with heavy load. This appears to be mostly on the 2013. Has anyone experienced this problem with any of the 2015's. I'm getting rid of our 13 one way or another the shudderr is that bad on ours. I love the ford trucks but don't want to buy the same problem. The dealer has offered to let me pull a heavy trailer but the 13 didn't start doing this bad till a couple thousand miles. Thankyou all for any responses

 

How much miles are on your spark plugs? All turbo motors can beat the plugs up and the EB is no exception. It is pretty sensitive to plug gap and condition. A lot of the misfire complaints can be traced back to worn or misgapped plugs. Lucky it's only a 30 minute job to change all 6 and the plugs are cheap too. I would buy new plugs, gap them to .030" and see how much of a difference it makes for you.

 

It has been ongoing since 2009. The length of the rear springs, and the fact that their soft for a smooth ride causes them to "wrap" and shudder. I believe the 2015 spring length was shortened...probably because of this. Search this site for "axle wrap".

 

My '08 F250 does it with our fifth wheel hooked up if I take off more than just gentle. From my understanding, tcp2 nailed the cause.

 

I hit 1000 mile the other day, and there has been no shutter issues. I have not had to haul anything yet though.
