Taking the 2015 plunge
I have a 2013 Platinum EB and am ready to pull the trigger on a 2015 with my X-Plan discount.....a couple of questions.....
When will the order cutoff for a 2015 orders likely occur this year?
Are there likely to be some 2015 incentives towards June-July?
If I order the 4x4 EB and do NOT plan to really do any towing or off-roading (want the 4x4 for snow in Prescott) am I fine with the standard 3.31 Non-Limited Slip diff or should I opt for the Locking version?
If I went locking, am thinking about the FX4 pkg......is the ride with that much different than the standard 4x4 on highway and city routes?
Thanks.......

Don't ever order a truck without a locking rear differential of some sort!
They are light in the rear compared to the front and they need it badly. I owned a 94 SWB F150 4x4 and used it up north in the snow. I then traded it for a new 2000 SCAB 4x4 with a traction lock rear. There was a huge difference in the rear traction in the snow whether or not the 4x4 was engaged.

Thing is, I think the limited slip is pretty much a thing of the past on a F-150, it's now open or e-locker. The e-locker has to be manually activated and cuts out at 25 mph. With traction control, you aren't going to spin out when you floor it to pass.
I'd get the e-locker and use it when really needed, let the traction control do its job the rest of the time.
