I have the max tow package and factory 7 pin trailer connector. Is the connector live from the factory or do I need to install a relay like older models? the truck didn't come with any relay to be installed that I can find.

 

I would think its hot. I would test it with the key off and on? Also w/ the lighting to find out.

 

Check the glove box, as I recall when I got my 2010 f150 with max tow it came with a fuse the need to be plugged in under the hood.
