We bought our first travel trailer this year(about 4700lbs dry, up to 2900lbs cargo) and am looking at potentially getting a new truck.
I have an 06 Titan now which has tons of power and pulls great however it has horrible gas mileage.
Normal around town driving which is just about all I do I get 10mpg. It's horrible. Most of the time i'm just going to work or my kids schools which are all minutes away.
Pulling a trailer I get 9mpg at best.

So how is the real world mileage on the 3.5L ecoboost while towing?

My truck has a 25 gallon tank so getting a 36 gallon tank in the F150 along with better mileage would make a huge difference in range.

 

I get 10-11 mpg avg towing a #5000 TT with my Max Tow Eco.

I get 16-17 mpg avg on my daily commute to work.

I get 20-21 mpg avg on straight hwy running empty doing 70 mph.
