Little update on my 2015 F150 Lariat

I think quite a few of you have seen my lowered 2015 F150 Lariat Sport FX4; however, I wanted to share a little update.

One thing that really bugged me about my new 2015 F150, was the big chrome headlights that really didn't fit with how I wanted the truck to look like. I pulled the lights and sent them off to a friend to have rebuilt, and I love the end result! Few things left to do to the truck, and it will be done.

Very nice!

Does your friend do this independently or does he have a shop? I'm guessing it reflects the same? Yours is the first I've seen with blacked out headlights and it looks awesome!

I think that you will be one of the few that pull them apart, they are expensive as all hell!

Looks killer! What will the accents of your rims match with now? I suppose the emblems.

I love them. The output is easily comparable if not better than my OEM 2014 projectors I had in my old 2011.

He owns a company called RetroShop. The output is the same since these are the LED ones, not the halogen. Other than one other truck at SEMA, I'm fairly certain I'm the first person to do anything with the OEM LED lights.

They're definitely not cheap, which was the scary part. Each assembly is worth about $1,500 CND from the local dealer. The 22" HD wheels are only for winter, as I have a set of 24" wheels for summer. The emblems are all being redone black/red like my old 2011.

I usually don't like asking how much it cost you but I'm pretty intrigued. Im sure its was probably cheaper than new headlights correct? Look forward to seeing the finished product. I usually don't like lowered trucks, but yours is spot on.

I won't disclose the price, as Jeremy helped me out since this was the first set being done.

Rolled the truck outside yesterday evening prior to a storm rolling in. I really love how the headlights change the look of the front end

Did you change the mirror lens? If so, where did you get it?

Nevermind, for some reason I was thinking it was orange.

I completely agree with the big chrome lights. When I was submitting the build for my lariat sport I was thinking the same thing. Did retro shop paint the housing black inside and smoke the lens? Are you planning on smoking the tails? I wonder if smoking the headlights only would hide the chrome enough to satisfy me 😜
