I read something online recently that spoke about Ford and GM working jointly on the 10-speed, and it was mentioned it was likely to be ready around the same time GM comes out with their next truck (soon in 2018, an '18 or '19?) since this one they just did was received so poorly. If I had to hazard a guess, Ford would probably then throw it in on their '19 model, since that's prob when they'll refresh the '15 with some new grilles 'n such, make it all one "newer refresh" package.

Guys, I see all that you can like about it. I had to pull the trigger and get a sweet 2014 because I just dont like a few things on this 2015. They brought one over to Future Ford in Sacramento...in person...looks like a Dodge Ram got drunk and boinked a Tundra and this is kind of their love child. This will also be a first year model. It still holds some beautiful F150 characteristics, but Im still a bigger fan of the 2014. I hope all you that are waiting dont miss out on the great 2014 incentives.....but I am happy to see how this platform evolves. I will always be a 150 man..and to those of you who really appreciate this. I understand we all have slight differences in taste...happy hunting!

Exactly
Even my old time dealers say the same thing, if you go big always wait past the first year on a new platform/model. Spoke to alot of people in the Ford business about two thirds dont like this look, but excited about the lighter weight to see how much more MPG it can create. We shall see....

I know that styling is purely subjective but I don't understand why people don't like how the 2015 looks? I happen to think that it is quite attractive and much better than the 2014 -- which, I think is too square and boxy. To be fair though, that may be because it's been around for so long and the new one is just fresh to me -- On the flip side being used to the current model could be why some people don't like it.
I happen to really, really appreciate that Ford is allowing the FX4 across all models -- along with the option of having the painted Sport bumpers -- such a better way of packaging.

Jackfrost - it's purely subjective
I love the look of the new one, love the look of the 09-14 too...lucky for me I guess, I love Ford trucks
The new model with 33-35" A/T's mounted with level kits will look fantastic. I can't wait to see them in person. Probably take a year for people around her to start modifying their new trucks. For those who don't like the new one they can shop GM/Dodge/Toyota, they have owner sites similar to F150online.com to hang out on
