2015 F150 at Seattle EcoBoost Challenge

I was at the EcoBoost Challenge in the Seattle area today. Drove a ton of different vehicles, and got to see the 2015 F150 in person. Unfortunately, they wouldn't open up the truck. I did get a few pictures though. This was a 4X2 Lariat Super Crew with the 5.5' bed. I like the color.

My first gripe: These trucks are so bold you need an offset wheel now to make it look normal. Damn those wheels are stuck in there

I thought I might be able to get used to this body style, but I can not. That is one, ugly, truck!

I agree. I really want to like this truck because there are so many things on it that Ford did right. Then I see one and it all comes crashing down, it just looks terrible. I have loved every new truck Ford has released since the 1997s except this abomination, I just can't do it. Hopefully they fire the designers and send them back to toyota where they belong.

I could say the same thing about the 97-03 Flaresides, 01-03 Screws, and the 09+.

I was a little disappointed that we couldn't open it up, or even bring down the tailgate. I would have also liked to have seen a 4x4 version, 4x2's just aren't as popular here in the Pacific NW.

It's nice that you could get up close, touch the new aluminum body, and look inside the window and bed. At the NY Auto Show the 2015 was up on a stage with a wall around it and we couldn't inspect it much. I'm hoping Ford adds more dates to the tour in NY-NJ-PA area.

It's a pretty sweet looking ride. It will look even better in a 4x4 and AT tires. I can't wait to the order guides come out this summer. What I'm mostly interested in now is finding out the options/packages availability and the fuel economy. Fuel economy for the 2.6L is supposed to be close to 30 mpg according to Ford engineers and a Ford blog from 4 days ago that I just read.

I have mixed feelings about the design. True the grille does make it look like a Toyoder baby but it does have a lot of new designs other than that that makes it standout. I've seen lots of people complain about the way it looks but think about after market parts. Someones going to have a new grille for it, get a PTM bumper, some new shoes with the offset to give a good stance and lift it some and then everyone will love it.

"God, grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, courage to change the things we can, and enough money to mod the F out of my truck so I can be proud of it and show it off to my online friends."

This quote should be made into a plaque and given to every TOTM winner haha
