2014 New York auto show

So the New York auto show starts in a few days. Anyone think ford will diverge some more info on the 2015 F150. I'm hoping for some power numbers and mileage numbers especially for the babyboost. Lol. Not that I would buy that small ecoboost cause of the hauling I do but very curious to see if they let any more info out..... or are they gonna pull a GM and not show and say anything until a month from full time production.... I hope not.

I'd like to know power, MPG, and baby EB numbers. I'd never buy an EB either, but I still think they're cool. I mean, they are supposed to be selling these things in the next 4 to 6 months, right?

Yea supposed to start selling at end of the year. Probably October November ish. I would consider own the 3.5 ecoboost cause I've driven them and towed with and really liked it.... but I sure do love my 5.0

Oh, I could drive one from a power standpoint, they're superb there. But I can't deal with the sound. I need that V8 rumble out of my truck, it's just too important to me.

Better keep your truck in A-1 condition or buy a new one in the near future because V8s won't be around forever. We are in the final years now. Unfortunately, I think Ford will be the first to eliminate them in trucks. Toyota or GM will probably be the last. RAM has the Ecodiesel and Ford is pushing Ecoboost technology.

One can dream, but they'll never exceed 3.5 liters or a V6. I'd like to see Ford do a 3.0 liter Inline 4-cylinder boosted engine with active fuel management.

Granted this is 100% hypothetical, but I do plan on perhaps daily-ing a V8 Mustang in the coming years. And if I do that and sell my truck at some point (which I don't want to do) or am forced to daily a V6 truck, I'd like to get an old ~78 supercrew or supercrew 7.3 to have as a play thing/weekend truck.

I do think you're right about Ford nixing the V8s first. Toyota has really surprised me with their extremely lack of new technology implementation. I think GMs pushrods are near the end of their line, but they do keep re-upping those old things.
