2015 F-150 Pics - Chicago Auto Show

Saw it at the Chicago Auto Show on Saturday. They had the Platinum and red XLT/FX4 with plow there. Platinum was behind bars and the XLT was locked. The one thing about the new truck that surprised me when seeing it in person for the first time was that it is not as big as it looks in pictures. Maybe its just me but my father said the same thing, its not as big as it looked in the pictures. This is especially true for the front end. The fronts on the 09-14's has the appearance of being bigger and "tougher" I guess you could say. The new front end, although with sharp lines, has a curve and roundness to it that reminds me of the 97-03's curves when looking at the front from the side. Again, this is all just my opinion. That being said, the truck is even more beautiful in person. After finally seeing it first hand, I can now officially say I love it. The door skins are definitely not as flimsy as the 09-14's either. :thumb:

Oh, and Job 1 is scheduled for November according to one of the guys there who works on the line.

Great pics, Chris. LED cargo lights are available on XLT and the removable tie downs up high with a big opening. Nice. And thanks for the tip on the start up date.

nice pics Chris! They help to change my opinion on the new body style. I don't think the previous pictures I've seen has done it justice.

Thanks guys and you're welcome.

All LED ones for higher trims, not to mention the blindspot radar is built into the LED tail light housing, and halogens for lower trim levels. Same thing goes for the headlights, all LED for higher trims and halogen for lower trims.

I don't know too many fleet companies who would be willing to pay for all LED headlights and tail lights.

It appears the fog lights are halogen no matter which model you get. Wonder how that will look with the LED headlights?

I've heard LED doesn't work well for fog lights.

Maybe because fog lights are generally more yellowish to give you better contrast on the roadway.

Yes, fogs were typically yellowish (though that has changed now), but they can make LEDs any color they want.
