Stock 2015+ 5.0 internals are good for 800+ hp....at the wheels. The first thing to go is the Opg's, then the block. And all the failures I've heard of are in the mustang, none in the trucks. The whipple kit on a 5.0 f-150 will make 600 hp at the wheels, +/- 50. Highest hp 2015+ I've heard of hasn't broken the stock internals at nearly 700 Rwhp. My point is...unless you're going for the record, the stock long block will most likely be fine.

crazynip, if 100 mph in a pony car scares you to death, then I imagine you wouldn't do much with 600 hp in a truck. And fwiw, the lifetime average fuel economy of my 750 hp truck is 19.9.
