Pro trailer backup assist

Just entered my 20 ft trailer in the backup assist mode. With the trailer disconnected after turning the ignition off then back on the default is the towing mode. I have to manually use the steering wheel buttons to go to the trip/fuel mode. How can I get back to trip/fuel mode when I first start the engine?

if i remember, go thru trailer promps and pick no trailer connected, then you can choose your display default.

Some of the heavier vehicles I drive have that feature, and it can't be turned off. So if my truck had it, I wouldn't care.

Yes, is it annoying? Yep, but I've dealt with it.

Press the "Select/Reset" stem on the center dash controls. Hold it down for a couple of seconds, then release it. Wait four seconds for the "Select/Reset" menu to return to the main screen. The Ford backup alarm is now disabled.
