Hi HessFx4,

I checked out your case notes and see that CSM Dawn left a message for you on Monday. If you want me to submit a request for buyback, just send me a PM, and I'll make the necessary changes to your case.

Well I was in the market for a new F150 & definitely want one with the new panoramic sunroof.

I won't be making the switch until I see hard evidence from my forum brethren that this issue has been rectified.

Not willing to "take a chance" as Canada does not have the American Lemon Laws.

Well, there are a ton of them out there and if they were all failing I think we'd see a lot more traffic in this thread.

My guess is that there are two problems - first is that some are leaving the factory with the sunroof improperly installed/aligned/etc., and second is that the dealers are sh*t at reinstalling them. I wonder if there's some sort of jig or tool (giant robot) that they use at the factory to install these that the dealers don't have access to. Whatever the reason, it seems to me that if you do get one that leaks or rattles, then you're going to have a hard time getting it fixed.

Of course, there's a question of whether even the ones that are installed right at the factory can eventually become misaligned from vibrations or use. There does seem to be some evidence of that. If that's the case, then this could evolve into a larger issue. Though if it does, then the dealers will of course get better at fixing them, or they'll get the right jigs to do the job properly, etc. That all takes time.

What's going on with your current truck, RVJ? I'll be happy to do whatever I can to assist.

When I traded in my Silverado for a Lariat I mentioned that I did not want a sun roof and I was told I had 48 hours to return it for any reason. It had the panoramic sun roof. I took it thru the car wash at the 22 hour mark and had a lot of soapy water coming in. I took it back and told them I wanted my Silverado back unless they had a like truck with no sun roof. They didn't and they told me they would look. I actually found the truck I bought 50 miles away in Omaha and it has no sun roof. They did a dealer trade and I am happy with it.

Rental car or loaner entitlement is dealer discretion unless you buy an extended service plan that specifically says you can get one.

Leaking Moonroof/Sunroof

Hello,

I am having the same issue on my new F150 Lariat bought only 4 months ago. They have already replaced the whole moon roof, and just seems to be making it worse as rain now just comes through as well, and the noise while driving has gotten worse.

Any suggestions? Anyone actually get this fixed yet?

wow, mine does the same thing, a stream of water will pour in when i go through the pressure wash car wash, if its just raing outside i get a steady drip in a few locations, mainly in the center where the 2 moonroofs meet, upon looking closely i can see sunlight looking at it on both sides, cant be right.
