I went into my local dealer to order my truck today, they said Ford is no longer taking orders for 2015 super crew with the 6.5' bed option, they said they have "shut down that until the 2016 order bank is opened"

Is this true or is my dealer bull****ting me?

 

Looks like you can still order one as long as it doesn't have the HD Payload package. Final cutoff is 8/1. The 2016 order bank opens 8/17.

they probably want you to buy one that they have in stock that they can't sell

 

Well, it worked, I am picking up my 2015 XLT super crew 5.0 with 6.5' bed on Friday! Stoked!!!!

I am getting it for less than I negotiated for an XL out of state, it has everything I wanted EXCEPT the 35 gallon fuel tank

 

That 35 gallon tank is hard to come by. My local dealer, according to their online stock, doesnt have any.

 

There are zero in the state of Florida in the config I was looking at (2015 SCREW with 6.5' bed). I found one in Georgia that was an XL, almost pulled the trigger on that, but found the truck I ended up buying (an XLT) locally for only $600 more... so I went with that

Anyone know if the 35 gallon tank can be swapped in?

 

My Super Crew 6.5 ft bed was just built July 18th and it has a 36 gallon fuel tank in it. Not exactly sure when I will get it, as it has to go to the outfitters for bedliner, retrax, mudflaps, and bug shield and then I will get it. Hopefully, the end of August.
It was ordered May 5th
