My numbers are a solid educated guess based on research n the auto press!

The ratings are all very realistic and Typical "High Water Marks" or maximums... It's how ALL vehicles are rated... Plus "Your Mileage May Vary"...! If you "jack rabbit" start from red lights n drive 75+ mpg... You Will get lower results.

I've lost count of how many times you have regurgitated the same tired old phlegm ball - you need to buy another freshly ayss-wiped set of trade rags and choose a different sales pitch. You sound like RI's twin brother. Jeeeeezzzzz Louise
Millennials .... git off yer Mommie's couch already, and learn to use proper english - this gibberish is not helping yer credibility on whit.

Agreed. I guess I have a different philosophy in which you are REALISTIC and are pleasantly surprised rather than expecting a lot and disappoint in the end. I am sure there were a few people cheerleading back in 2010 that the 3.6 eco was "23 MPG"!! Well, it's safe to say that more than a few were given a let down. MOST trucks are 4x4 and most don't drive in perfect warm conditions. Just saying that overhyping does more harm than good in the long run.
This looks much closer to what I would expect. Gains on all trucks across the board. Subtract 2 mpg for 4x4.
This could make a great line-up:
3.5 v6 NA 280 hp 300 ftlbs 6000 lb tow 27 mpg
2.7 v6 EB 320 hp 350 ftlbs 8000 lb tow 28 mpg
5.0 v8 NA 360 hp 400 ftlbs 10,000 lb tow 25 mpg
3.5 v6 EB 400 hp 450 ftlbs 12,000 lb tow 26 mpg
This gives most engines 20%+ mpg improvement with -700 lbs wt loss better aerodynamics and engine refinements...

By Ford’s calculations, the 2015 truck, equipped with a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 and a 6-speed automatic transmission, will be capable of achieving “close to” 30 miles a gallon"
Ok the above was straight from the article by NY times. It says by calculations and "close to" again. Hell, 25 mpg is close to if you are rounding up. Let's ignore Ford and actually listen to the industry experts. 10 percent weight reduction improves fuel by 6-7%. Let's be generous and say 20 weight reduction on a 5000 lb truck. This would make that truck into a very light 4000lbs. Even with that 1000 lbs weight reduction, or egg head physicists say 14% increase at the MOST. That would put the truck right at the 25 mpg rating after all.
Please don't claim "aerodynamics and new engine tech" will get you the other 5 mpg.

Granted that doesn't mean much, but good God! I'd kill someone if I could get 554 miles to a whole tank

Furthermore, do you REALLY think they would get 30 mpg on a fully loaded platinum that has been creeping around showrooms all of it's life and has barely 1000 miles?! If this truck were getting 30 mpg, then a broken-in super cab with 2wd will be getting around 40 mpg.
Jesus Christ people.

But I assume you're a leveled 4x4? I'm a leveled 2wd with 275/60/20 (33.0x10.8") street tires and I'm almost always in the high 11s. 14 is best I've ever gotten. Long tubes certainly don't help hahaha
