Bed Extender
#2
Hi rob, and welcome! There was a significant redesign in the body of the truck between model years 2014 and 2015, so I doubt it. The bed extender I had for my 2005 truck would not fit my 2014 without some significant modifications, so I bought a new one for it.
You SHOULD be able to look at the beds of a 2013 and 2016 truck to see the differences. You might have to make measurements of things like the mounting holes and their positions. From that, you should be able to make an informed decision.

For the aluminum body trucks I'm not sure but do suspect some parts might carry over but the different in bed options might throw it off.

Ummm, not true. I kept the extender from my 2005 and put it on my 2011. The only changes required were to drill two holes on each side of the plastic bed liner. The holes were even already marked on it. The mounting hardware was different but the threaded holes were the same. Something might have changed between the 2011 and 2013 beds but I suspect not.

I'm happy with the two piece, stow-away extender that I bought and it lives permanently in my truck.

I recently bought the OEM bed extender for a 2013 F-150 off Craigslist and it fits fine in my 2015. The lock pins line up on each side. The only thing that doesn't line up is the lock pin on the tailgate when the extender is flipped out resting on tailgate but I'm ok with that since the lock tabs work on the side and I'll use it mostly flipped inward so stuff stays towards the tailgate with gate closed. Here's some pics
