Dome light question

I'm feeling dumb here. My dome light doesn't come one automatically when I open the door to get into the truck. It works if I turn it on manually. I've never had a car that didn't do this. Can someone tell me the button combination to get this to work. I'm assuming that it's supposed to. I must have turned it off inadvertently. I have a 2015 xlt 150.

Thanks.

My Lariat has a switch in the ceiling console to turn it on/off. Not sure if that's where is is on the XLT. I don't have my owners manual handy to check.

I don't know about your model but on many vehicles the light switch is a three way. Always Off - On with door open - Always On. Your owner's manual should say. If you don't have one it should be posted online.

Okay, it was an obvious solution that anyone but me could figure it out, but I'll post it anyway incase anyone has an issue.

In the ceiling front switches right above the center of the dash..... the middle button turns this off and on. Now my lights turn on when I open the door and turn off by themselves shortly after I close it. Duh....
