2016 scab 4x4 3.5 NA...slow common man build
This is my 3rd F150 and hopefully the last one for about 10 years.
Truck specs :
2016 F150 XL Supercab 4x4
3.5 NA
Power and chrome package
Tow package with 3.73
Pro trailer back up assist
Truck is mainly used for commuting and hauling dirt bikes and small travel trailer to and from races.
Red truck was my original F150, white truck was the one this truck is replacing.

I have some moto metal MO970s and black tube step bars on the way for it that I should have mounted on Monday. Within the next month it will be leveled and eventually get some 285s. Im still undecided on a tuner because the stock power is so good.
My red truck had the 4.2 with a 5 speed, tuner, intake and exhaust and I added 4.10 gears. It towed OK but was lacking torque and I really needed 4wd.
The white truck had the 4.6 with the tow package with an intake , exhaust and tuner. It towed much better than the 4.2 and was perfect for towing the 4k travel trailer and dirt bikes.
The 16 3.5 NA is bone stock and has more power and tows better than the 4.6 did. Its amazing how far v6's have came in the last few years. I liked the 5.0 but was looking for better mpg unloaded and the ecoboost motors just scared me. I like to keep it simple and the 3.5 seems rock solid and has more than enough power for what I'll do.

I was actually looking for the same trim in a crew cab with the 6.5 foot bed, but that seems to be the unicorn. Plus the price difference wasn't worth it to me. After riding in the new scab with flat rear floor and doors that open all the way, I was sold on a Supercab again.
