2015 F150 fire

Does any one have the ford regional contact info for New Jersey, took my new truck into Ford dealer for odor, they said leaky valve gasket and next thing mechanic took it for a ride and I got a call it burned up to frame. Fords investigating since mid Feb and still cant get an answer from them.
1500 miles no reason it was burned to frame

Yep, now that's a case of insurance wires getting hot if I've ever seen one.

No Help from FordService BiographySocial Media Team for Ford Motor Company’s Customer

FordService BiographySocial Media Team for Ford Motor Company’s Customer Care division,I called and got promises and still waiting at least 6 times, just refer me to their General Counsel in writing. Dealer can only text the engineer. I get these CAS case # then in 15 days tell me its closed without talking to me. I have always bought Ford an Lincoln vehicles for years and its terrible how they turn their back, and all this happened at the dealership.

Might be time to lawyer up then. Sounds like the dealer is dropping the ball. I would go to the dealer and camp in the GM's office until I got an answer. Talk to your lender too, if you have a note on the truck because if you don't make payments they will ding your credit.

Keep us posted as to your progress. and good luck.

Ferrari had a number of fires and those were embarrasing .Turned out that heat shields were attached with adhesive that ignited when they became too hot !! It doesn't take much ,and some of those Ferraris were parked , engine off when they ignited.
In any case keep pushing , lawyer up ,go after the dealer especially since they touched it last !

Contact your insurance agent, that's a comprehensive claim. Let THEM deal with Ford. That's what you have insurance for. If you don't have comprehensive coverage, why not?

Your insurance should take care of it. This happened to a family members car while it was under warranty as well and insurance paid out.

Some nice but firm language directed at the right person (start at the dealer) should be able to get you into the same truck on the same terms. If not I would post this all over the net.

Yes I could go to my insurance but they will prorate the car an wont get the full value & tax and fees paid, Ford should step up or the dealer and replace the truck or full reimbursement. I just think its ridiculous you cant talk to someone, Ford creates a bad name for themselves.

Ha, no ****. Well said, bravo.

I would be calling everyday recording the phone call asking when I could get my fixed truck back.

So have you asked the dealer to make it right so you are not out any money?

They are waiting for you to file an insurance claim I bet so they don't 'loose' a truck.

I would find a happy middle and see what you can get out of them for your time and suffering.

I would think that the dealer's insurance would have to pay up on this...they would if they dropped it off of the lift? Then let the dealer haggle with Ford over defect/mechanic error...

Just be thankful noone was hurt...especially your family...

I would threaten to contact the news if you can't get back into the exact same truck or better.

This **** would circle the net for quite a while.
