That's because they are marketing them to the biggest market these days: soccer moms and people who drive their trucks to work and back and thats it

Production has been updated to Late 2nd quarter 2016...

Not that rare. I have a 2012 configured that way and ordered my 2015 and now my 2016 that way.

Still no idea when it will, if ever. Repair bills on my 2012 are starting to add up.

Smile 2016 Payload Package

Hi,
New to the forum but have been using it for info for a while.
Just wanted to give an update on anyone trying to order a truck
with the payload package option, I was just given a build date of 5/30 and tentative delivery date around July 4th by the dealer this week.
Very excited! and have been waiting since last year to order this truck.

Hello,
New to this forum also. I ordered 1st week of april an XLT with lots of option inluding HD payload. It is a crewcab witn a 6.5 box. I went to the dealer this pm and the truck has been built. It shoud be at the dealer in 2.5 weeks.

I just received information on mine as well. Will be built the start of June with delivery the end of June. 2016 HD Ecoboost Lariat Crew Cab with 6.5 box. Been waiting since December 2014.
