Had the truck less than a week before i made the decision to upgrade my speakers. The factory speakers make great mounts for the aftermarket speakers. 6x9 in the front and 6.5 in the back. Don't know if all speakers will mount the same way, but the Rockford fosgate speakers have mounted great once I gutted the factory junk.





Just realized that I didn't get any pictures of the final install. I'll pop a door panel tomorrow or Sunday and get some pics of what they look like without drilling anymore holes in the truck. Concerned me a little bit cause the speakers were pretty deep, but using the frame of the oem speaker they cleared great.

Nice, I did a similar job in my wifes vw Tiguan. Most people dont think of cutting out the middle of the factory speakers and using them as a bracket. Thanks I have been looking all over for the speaker sizes. Cant wait to upgrade, man the stock ones are really bad!
