5.0, and about 17.5 MPG. I believe in varying the RPMs while breaking the engine in, so I accelerate hard, followed by slowing down using engine compression (manual shift mode).

Just went over 1000 on my truck yesterday.

5.0 Scab 4x4, got 20.6mpg, both indicated on the display and calculated by me, for about 50/50 highway and around town driving.

I am a grandad, but I don't drive like one.

I'm going to pass 1000 miles this weekend on my SCREW 5.0 4x2 with 6.5' bed.

Takeda, what trim package do you have, I have an XLT and my dashboard is a lot different...

I've got a Platinum, 5.0, 4X4, 6.5' bed, technology, towing, and offroad packages, 36 gallon fuel tank, and spray in bed liner.

I wish mine had the 36 gallon tank, but they are exceedingly rare right now, especially in 2 wheel drive trucks... anyone know why Ford decided it was a good idea to reduce the size of the stock tank by 4 gallons?

The only reason I can think of is weight reduction.

I like my 36 gallon tank, that way I can fill up every other day instead of everyday!
