That sir is torque converter clutch solenoid or shift solenoid. They are a B as they are built inside the trans on the valve body. When they go no amount of new torque converters will last. It won't let it engage or disengage properly and most mechanics think this is the TC. Find out if they changed the TC clutch solenoid/shift solenoid. Tell them to change it and see if it acts right

 

Tex - it looks like Ford did a buyback on the truck 6 months ago.......

Glad to hear they actually bought your truck back. I have been having nothing but major electrical problems with my 2015 f150 5.0... The first issue was i would lose all power to the gas pedal, my service light, service hill assist light, service traction light and air bag light would all come on...they have so far...
1. replaced the gas pedal
2. spliced in a new wire behind the gas pedal to the pin which involved cutting into the wiring harness and butt connecting the new wire in and shrink wrapping it (Ford engineering fix)
3. had a wire come loose at the fuse panel and cause my wiring harness for my trailer would spark and not work.

the truck has been to the dealership 5 times now and left me on the side of the road. The truck only has 17000 kms on it and Ford has no idea why all these issues are happening. All they keep saying is that if something breaks they will fix it under warranty. I am tired of being their test monkey. I use my truck for work and I'm terrified of being broken down on the side of the road and not being able to make any money because this garbage truck is so unreliable.

Very unhappy with this truck and Ford Canada right now. :/

 

Well boys, I'm looking at a '15 Platinum Ecoboost now. It's the kind you just whistle for and it hooks up to your trailer and comes around to get you. Just about. Hey, it's a Platinum. Anyway, I've been researching, looking, etc., for a long time, but ready to buy now. This one is a '15 left, so a good price for Platinum. My dream truck. I've got confidence in the Ecoboost now. I might skip on this one, but it's a good one, I think. Need to give it a good longer test drive.

 

I'm finding quite a few '15 Lariats on the lots too. Very few can seat 6 in a SuperCrew though so that limits my options.

 

We started the truck 3 times with key not remote start the run starts but no power to anything window back up camera power steering radio ac did throw a code and wrench. The wrench went off but engine light still on but do not want to drive in rain with no power strering Please help anyone with answers?

 

I have a 3 month old 2015 F150 5.0 with issues. I drive about 5000 miles a month

Engine cuts out. Trans shifts into tow option randomly which has caused a hard down shift to happen from 5th-2nd gear locking up rear axle. Almost causing accident.

Dealer changed gateway mod which is causing engine to run worse.

When cruise control is on and I brake the truck will speed up for a second until harder braking.

Rough idle when in traffic.

CSM at Ford is not returning calls.
