Any body have feedback after getting the TSB completed? Thanks in advance.

 

Mine was done 2 weeks ago now and its the quietest its ever been.

 

just wanted to let everybody know i had my truck in over the weekend to fix the noise in the moonroof, they performed the TSB 16-0020 and moonroof is quiet now. hopefully it works

2015, F150 sun roof making noise 15K miles, Had truck in garage twice and replaced it both times and now its doing it again. Anyone have a fix.

 

If they are replacing the roof your issue might be more involved but basically the fix has been to lube the track and moving parts really good. I also pinpointed my noise location and posted the link earlier in this thread.

 

Ready to upgrade to a 2015 F150 with the sun/moon roof option. Would I be better off looking for one without one? Truck has everything I am looking for. Well wanted the 5.0 but hard to find so its the 3.5 eco.

 

My roof issues seems to have been resolved. Otherwise its a great truck

 

I really didn't care about the roof it just came with the packages I wanted. That being said it is nice sometimes but I could live without it. Now that my noise is resolved I am fine with it.

If it does not matter to you then you might just want to go without. Some (probably most because they have nothing to complain about) people never have an issue. Some have issues and get it fixed. Then there are a few that seem to have all kinds of problems including leaks that never seem to get resolved.

 

I took my 2015 F150 Platinum to the dealer a few months ago and they said they couldn't hear the rattle but it was probably something in my door pocket. NOT hardly. What should I tell them the next time I take it in?

 

Point them to TSB 16-0020 it will work for awhile then as mine is doing it again. You will need to go back. You must be persistent.......

I finally got it fixed. Dealer had it for 2 weeks and they replaced the whole sunroof.
I still have a problem with water inside the car after heavy rain. I brought it to the dealer for the first time when the car had like 500 miles and today its the 5th time i brought it in. I find a water in glove box and recently it was dripping on my feet while driving. Its ridiculous.

 

2015 f150 had for one year already have 35k miles. Sunroof for the last 2-3 months has worsened tremendously. It is in the shop now and was told the track needed to be replaced. Warranty is almost up and dreading if the problem is not resolved with this repair. Sunroof is pricey without warranty I'm sure.

 

Bought F150 completely loaded in July 2015. It's been to the dealership 4 times. I think twice since the official TSB 16-0020 was issued. I could have probably taken it there a dozen times but it's an inconvenience for me. Who has the time for that? The instructions for TSB 16-0020 fix by the way are a joke. Google it and read the pdf. Clean with rubbing alcohol and add some grease! I called BS at the dealership and they basically just ignore me. Have complained so many times but they just ask me to bring it in again. Just picked it up today and the knocking and rattling is gone but it'll be back in 2-4 weeks. Car wash - forget it. How they think its acceptable for a little water to enter the cabin is totally bat**** crazy. I've owned three cars (VW, Toyota, Volvo) with sunroofs and this has never been a problem. Class action or recall is way over due. Most people aren't aware of the dash warp issue. Take a close look and you'll see it. Truck is junk. Looks nice and ride is good but should have gone with the Toyota. Ford - never again. I'll likely sell it soon before the warranty is up.
