2015 Eco boost exhaust options

Im wanting to add an aftermarket exhaust on my truck but was told by a local muffler shop that they don't have any for the Eco boosts that sound good and they've tried everything. He told me that if I find one that sounds good to let him know and he'll install it for me.

I've been doing a lot of researching and I haven't found anything through the forums as of recently about exhaust on an Eco boost.

Has anybody done an exhaust mod that they are happy with on a newer eco boost? I'm looking for a good aggressive sound at start up and when I mash the gas but also stays fairly quite in the cab at cruising speeds. I know it'll never sound like a V8, and I'm ok with that, but I don't want it to sound like a rice burner ether.

Any suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Codeman,

Sound is subjective, but in general, the more aggressive the system you put behind these motors, the higher-pitched and raspier the characteristics of your exhaust note tend to become. Flowmaster produces three Cat-back systems for the 2015 Ecoboost F-150 ranging in sound from mild(Force II, part #817727), to moderate(American Thunder, part #817725), and aggressive(Outlaw, part #817726). I have included videos below. If you have questions about any of our systems or would like a muffler recommendation for your truck, feel free to shoot me a PM or give us a call at 707-544-4761.

Outlaw Cat-Back system
American Thunder Cat-back system
Force II Cat-Back system

I'm in the same boat. I'm leaning toward the MBRP stainless dual rear exit. Hopefully it won't sound too ricey.

I was looking at a setup by HeartThrob a while back, and Stage 3 motorsports also has a few vendors listed for exhaust.

Did you end up getting the MBRP exhaust system?

I got it today. It may be a couple of day before I get it installed. I'll let you know what I think as soon as I can.

I got the MBRP exhaust put on. It's the dual rear exit and I think it looks great. It wasn't too terrible to install. I did have to persuade it in a few places to get everything lined up out back. It definitely does not sound like a V8 but I think it sounds cool. I chose the ecoboost over the 5.0 after all. I think it does have a little more get up and go once it spools but I think it made the lag a little worse. I ordered some JMS goodies to hopefully remedy that situation. Overall I would recommend.
