I was wondering if anyone knew how big of a tire i can put on my 2005 f150 supercrew, it has stock 17 in rims. I dont want to have to buy new rims.

 

If it is a 4x4, you can fit 315/70-17's (35x12.50) with a 2.5 inch leveling kit. If you don't lift the truck, I'd suggest a 285/70-17 (33x11.50), a 33x12.50-17 or a 295/70-17 (34x12.00).

 

It's only a 2x4.

 

33-12.50 / 17 or 285-70/17 as mentioned above. Without a full suspension lift you may not be happy or even able to go with 35" tires due to power loss, decreased fuel economy. As it is the 33's are about 70 pounds each(depending on brand). I think 33's is a safe way to go if you only plan on getting a leveling kit and keeping the factory wheel.JMO

 

I agree. I'd suggest 33's if you install a leveling kit and 32's (265/70-17) if you leave it at stock height.
