New 09 FX4

I put my 08 Chevy for sale on the internet last week and sold it in 1 week. I'm picking up my new FX4 F150 tomorrow. Silver with black interior - loaded with basically every option. I'll put some pics up once I get it.

I was going to order one but got what I wanted for my truck quickly so had to let it go.

BTW - I've always had Ford, that was my only Chevy ever because I couldn't deal with another powerstroke and went duramax (and would buy it again if I needed a diesel). Don't need a diesel now so back to the blue oval.

Anyway, I called the Ford dealer I have always used and had him try and find exactly what I wanted. He got real close - this one is two tone with a gray stripe at the bottom which I would not have added if ordering but can live with. It also has the tailgate step which I don't care about but don't mind having. Anyway, sticker is $45,174 (there are $1750 in discounts on the sticker for having luxury package, nav, and moonroof which brought it down from $47k). With X-Plan, the $750 customer loyalty deal I got in the mail, and the $3k rebate, it should be $36,720. I figured that out on my own so could possibly be off a little but am definitely close.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow night.

The one thing missing is a DVD player for the kids. That thing in my wife's expedition is worth its weight in gold when travelling with kids in the back seat! I guess I'll have to do something aftermarket.

i would def prefer to have the dvd in my car for my son as well....i would agree with its importance. wow. how did i make it as a kid. without his movies, my 3 year old can be unpleasant to ride with at times. man, that is some great discounts. the fx4 i looked at stickered at $40k and i figured the best i could see a final price at was around $35k...

good to hear on your pricing

Congrats! That is good to hear about the price you got, makes me feel better about being able to get a leftover '09 the way I would want it for the price range I'd be in. Of course, there's the Raptor tugging at my wallet too.

yeah, the overhead dvd system was deleted for 09.

I think there is a Ford Accessory dvd headrest kit (screen and player in back of headrest). It is in the 2008 accessory catalog and I think someone said it's also available for the new 09's. Something you could look into...

pics coming in a few minutes. This truck is very nice! The radio sound quality and nav features are unbelievable. Gas prices, real time sports scores, weather radar, etc, etc on the nac screen - WOW!!! and the radio sound quality - unbelievable! Everything else about the truck is great too but the radio and nav really really impressed me especially compared to the 07 Expedition and 08 Chevy truck with their highest end systems I am used to.

If you have any questions about anything in it or want some specific pics, let me know.

I put pics in my gallery - I'm trying to include them in this thread but not sure if it will work. The pics are not great, I took them quick and can get better ones later.

What do you all think about the pin stripe? My dealer had to go find a truck with the options I wanted and the dealer that had it had the pin stripe added. My dealer left it for me to see but said they will remove it if I want them to. If you asked me about it without seeing, I definitely would not want it but after looking at it, I kind of like it - thoughts????

Thanks for the compliment, this is my first truck in 10 years that is not a diesel. I like the quiet, nice ride!
