2009 Ford F150 STX Regular Cab

I stopped by a local dealership yesterday and looked at a 2009 STX regular cab. Really nice, but the stickers look like they were messed up.
Here are some pics:

So they went without the little second door on the '09 regular cabs. Did not know that. Looks nice. I need those f-150 emblems!

I have a local dealership that has a black regular cab STX on the lot. I also noticed the ugly decals, and hoped that it was just an error. Why would Ford design a decal that looks like it's a flaw?

Decals are a no, but doesn't look bad in my opinion. Kinda torn as to if I like the old style reg cabs more or the 09s.

The new regular cab blows away the looks of the old regular cab. I cannot for the life of me figure out why Ford decided to ruin the look of the regular cab by adding those ridiculous and useless rear doors.......

Of course, I also can't figure out why Ford will not allow you to order an '09 Regular Cab-Short Box truck with the 5.4 engine......

By the way, the fender badging on the new truck is awesome -- way better than the uninspired rectangular badges on the '04 - '08 trucks......

I dont like that the front end of this truck looks like an enlarged front end from the overpriced scretched out Scion Xb wannabe Ford Flex. I do not like how they made all the lights so large. The Headlights are huge and the taillights stretch too far out onto the sides of the truck. Also the 3 Stripes on the tailgate look like ass.

As far as my likes, just like everyone else I like that they went away with those useless small doors, I thought those looked real dumb. Even though it made it easier to get crap from behind your seat, I will jepordize convience for looks in that case. Also I am totally digging that new Badge, I am defiantly putting one on my 08. Overtime my feeling on this truck might change, I remember when the 1997's came out I hated them at first because I was so into that early/mid 90's boxy style. After a few months once I saw a bunch on the road that body style grew on me and I eventully ended up buying one.

Have you seen one in person yet? I didn't like the tailgate either until I actually saw the truck -- then I thought it looked pretty cool.

I have seen it in person, but it was real quick in passing and didnt really look at the tailgate. I will have to go by the dealership and take a good look at it. Like I said, this style might grow on me overtime.

I love the looks of the reg cab short bed. I just found out you cant get the 5.4 in the stx in 2wd or 4wd. What is Ford thinking? Oddly enough, you can get the 4.6 3v engine in a 4x4 where as the XL is totally different. Its the best looking reg cab I have seen in years.

Seriously, I don't understand why you can't get a 5.4 in this body configuration! I would be adding a Roush SuperCharger ASAP, a suspension kit, performance wheels & tires, & make my own Lightening!....
