Weathertech MudFlaps with flare and OEM running board

Good pictures, tw, and yes, I agree with you that the WeatherTech mudflaps would NOT work on the fronts. I think you're stuck with using Ford's or, perhaps following Blown_F-150's advice about using good rustproofing techniques if you were to install the Husky ones.
Personally, I would not be afraid to drill a couple holes if I also applied good rustproofing. There should be no movement there, to scrape the paint off.

The fenders natural shape and flares haven't changed much in the 10 years of both styles. Should bolt in perfectly.

OP,
I have a set of the weathertech mudguards sitting in a box here, I never installed. I decided to wait until I changed my stance to something bigger to put them on at some point before long.
When I held the front ones up I discovered the same thing you did, the running board is in the way WTF!
During some research I learned that the running board platform is seperate than the black mounts to the truck body. It sounds like you can just unbolt the platfrom and move it back a notch for more clearance and rebolt. Now, I haven't proven this theory and mine are caked with mud underneath but, if it ever stops raining here I'll check it out and report back.

Well - I tried to mount the Ford ones, started with the rear. Could not get it fit snug against the body- despite manipulating it all sorts of ways, there was always a gap. May see if the dealer can install.
RedWoods - early on, I looked at the mount and I didn't think it could be moved. I'll have to check again.
Will update ....

Interesting. Just checked my Amazon orders and found the following: "WeatherTech 110003-120003 Mud Flap". Maybe it's hard to see on the angle of the pic or color, but they do wrap a little. Maybe they changed them to wrap around more now? Bought them in January, 2015.

Those look like the weathertech's to me, same as the ones I've had in boxes last few years and same part numbers for front and rear.
That is interesting that you had just enough room to squeak it in there. When I held mine up the flap would have to bend forward toward the tire to fit. It seems like some have clearance, some do not I've found with the same setup!
Some dry weather coming this weekend finally so I'm going to pressure wash the truck (needs it anyway) and do some investigating
