Tire Pressure Fault

Hi guys.
I have a 2010 XLT CrewCab. My Tire Pressure system has a fault. I've checked all four tires and they are all sending good signals. Anyone else had this problem? Is it fixable in my driveway, or do I need too visit a dealer?

Have you checked your Owner's Manual? I know there's a "Reset" procedure in mine. There probably is in yours also.

How do you know your sensors are sending good signals? From the age of your truck, I'd suspect the sensor batteries might be just about used up. You may need to replace them.

Does the light strobe when you turn the truck on? Check air in spare tire....

We got the same fault a couple times in my dad's 2015 F-250. Research indicated it was due to the USB charger(s) plugged into the cigarette lighter. He hasn't had a problem since we unplugged them.

I have a 2010 with aftermarket rims and 35s, but over the past year when I go on long trips mine has gone off a few times while driving, but tire pressure was fine. Usually it auto resets after it sits and I start it back up. It went off last month while sitting in a parking lot, but it was an actual low reading in one of my tires, so looks like it still is working, but after almost 8 years I bet they are in need of replacing. I'll do that when I get new tires this year.

consult the owners manual. It will tell you how it works and what the different flashes mean.

Have you upgraded tires and now running a higher pressure? I had the dealer look at mine and they said it was because my pressure was to high.

They can be retrained for the different pressures.
