Navigation software

I recently bought a 2013 Lariet F-150 4x4, sometime the navigation map on the screen has me position off the road I am driving on! Is there a way to upgrade the software without paying lots of money?

The sync 2 system (my ford touch) is what you have in your truck. Log in to your account on sync my ride and make sure you have the latest version of the operating software that runs the entire thing. That's where your problem is not the map data (which is on the SD card in your center console) The latest version is 3.80, if that does not fix the problem then your A.P.I.M. (accessory protocol interface module) is bad. Depending on mileage and original sale date your apim may still be under warranty. Ford issued a one year extension on the APIM's in all vehicles with the my ford touch system.

Hi shriner,

05RedFX4 is correct in stating that V3.8 is the most current software for the MyTouch systems. However, have you had the tires rotated or replaced recently?

How would the tires affect the map system? Doesn't it get it's location via GPS?
