Sorry, guess I posted in the wrong forum before. I know this has been "kicked around: on all the forums, but can not find the wire. I checked at my tail light and there is a black w/green stripe wire, and a gray wire at my backup light. Checked both driver and passenger rail wires at the cab and do not see these wires. Checked all wires on both sides with meter, can find NONE that that are hot when in reverse only with truck running. The one's I do find hot, are hot in both park and reverse. Checked for the consistently mentioned Blk/Pink wire in both kick panels as well as a multitude of other mentioned colored wires for 12v when in reverse only and came up with zero. Can you tell me which is the reverse wire for my truck?

 

Assuming you're looking for a wire in the door sill for cab mounted lights? Probably no help but you can use the 7 pin connector wire if you have a tow package. Maybe color trace that wire?

 

I used the center pin on trailer connector for the rear camera & remote transmitter. Looking for a reverse wire in the front for the monitor and transmitter. Don't know about others, but in the 2009, it runs from the back up light in the rear,,,,,,,,,,,,in a wiring housing on the "outside of the frame" and goes into the engine compartment behind the drivers side front wheel.

I know this thread is rather old but......anyone know where I could find the backup power wire in the cab for a 2013?

 

Still never told us the colour. Plus maybe add a picture of where under the hood this harness is behind the front wheel. And this is a STICKY???

 

 

The Crutchfield wiring guide for my 2013 F150 XL says:

Blue / White
Reverse Trigger
Pin 13
Location: 32-pin black plug (D) at Body Control Module in passenger's kick panel

 

The wire (grey with a brown stripe) is under the hood drivers side, it comes from the underside and follows the inner fender to a connector just behind the resivour for the rad. 2009 screw.
