Goodbye 2012 Lariat

Well, I'm out of the truck scene for now. I need the mileage, so I got a 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE. Pretty much loaded up, and been clocking right at 47 - 50 MPGs if I go easy on it.

BTW I got $29,700 for trade in on my truck. It was a 4x4 Screw, 5.5' bed, ecoboost, with 47,000 miles on it. It had a flow though console, chrome package, and lariat plus package, and integrated brake controller. It was not a very "decked out" Lariat, which is exactly what I wanted.

I'm pretty happy with the trade it value. Especially here in Washington state, where you only pay sales tax on the difference between your trade in, and the new vehicle. MSRP for the Fusion was ~$35,000 , but with dealer discount, and only one rebate that I qualify for, sales price was right at $30,000. Tax rate here is 9.8%, so I saved almost $3K just in taxes!

The hybrid Escapes have held up well as cabs in NYC from what I understand. So, you probably have a reliable vehicle there.
