Noisy front end in 2wd

Noisy front end in 2wd
New to the site and have a question. 2013 Crew Lariat 4x4. In 2wd i hear a noise up front mainly on the left side. Sounds like metal clanking. When I put it in 4A or 4wd it goes away. No warning lights and 4wd works fine. I had transfer case fluid changed. 86000 miles... any ideas???

Sounds like your IWE's trying to engage. Could be a vacuum leak, or bad solenoid.
