My Sync music no longer works since I did the upgrade. Is anyone else having this issue?

I've heard on the news that the ios 8 upgrade was flawed and full of bugs and apple actually pulled it down from their servers until they fix it. If that's true just wait a few days until they fix and try the revised update.

I had problems after downloading iOS 8.0.2. I could Bluetooth songs but the phone would not send or receive calls via sync (iPhone 5s). I deleted all devices from sync and removed sync from my iPhone and rebooted the phone. Then I added the iPhone as a new device and set it as primary again. Everything is working fine now.

I tried that as well. No luck.

Hi, everyone -

For those of you having issues with your SYNC system after iOS 8, we recommend deleting SYNC from your phones, and creating a fresh pairing:

If you're still having issues, take a look at this troubleshooting document from Apple:

What about us folks using Windows Phone 8.1? When do you plan to update SYNC to support it? You would think two MS products would work together but not so much...

I can't speculate on future plans for Windows phone support, but keep an eye on our compatibility chart:

And there's the exact problem! There hasn't been an update to SYNC since I purchased my truck in early 2011. Several features have been eliminated because Ford hasn't updated to match the current standard. At one time my truck could read my text messages now it can't. It won't play music through the USB because of the Draconian DRM requirements. As it is now I rarely use Sync as it's mostly worthless to me. I certainly won't pay for this option again since it's as useful as a poo flavored lolly pop!

I did this. The phone still works and always did. The problem is that Bluetooth audio no longers works. I can no longer listen to my music without doing a USB connection.

I've tried all the fixes since ios8 came out and wish I would've stayed with 7.1. Random Bluetooth disconnects are the most common issue now. It would be nice if their was an update for the software on the sync. I have a 2011 platinum F150 and the last update was 2010. You would think there'd be an update in the last 4 years. If only to add a feature or keep it up to date.
