Kawei K1 pickup truck - Chinese Ford F-150 Clone

I don't get it, out of almost 2 billion people in that country they can't get one person to design a new truck. Not to mention they have been cloning almost anything that is iconic from Europe also.

I think you're confusing that with the outside-the-US Ranger, buddy.

I see styling cues of the f150 in it, but it is in no way a clone.

No, there's another thread on this around here somewhere, it is a F-150 clone.

Well that looks VERY similar to the Ranger and looks almost nothing like the 150

The shape of the headlights and the hood are similar to an 09+ F150 but otherwise there isn't much resemblance.

Reminds me more of the 2015 F150 with '09/'14 headlamps.

Take away the headlights and the whole thing looks exactly like an elongated version of that Ranger pictured above. At least to me anyway.

The cab is too short, by height and length, to look anything like a 150. The whole truck exudes quarter ton to me. I could make a clone look a lot more like a 150 if someone paid me to do it haha.

Cool

Well, my take...
Headlights, rear view mirror, wheel well lip - resemble 09+ F150?
Vent looking thing on front fender - resembles Raptor?
Tail lights - resembles pre '97?
Headache rack - Looks/resembles GM or GMC to me?
Of course, I am nearly blind in one eye and can't see out the other. So what do I know........

I don't know if you guys watch the british top gear show, but there's an episode where the trio is in China and the segment is about the chinese making replicas of well known cars (bmw, mercedes, possibly ford); the cars are almost exactly the same but with a different brand and different model name. There must be some kind of loop hole they've found.

That looks more like a VW Amarok than anything else.

No loophole needed, it is up to the individual .govs to enforce trademark laws. The Chinese .gov is in on the money to be made from the copyright infringement so they won't do anything to stop it. The only fallback is the WTO which is through the UN and we all know how useless that entire origination is...
