There is no cabin air filter.

IIRC in 2008 FoMoCo offered a retro'fit cabin air filter kit, however, it is now -obsolete- and there isn't anything for the 2009+ gen'.

sure wish I could install one as I work in a gawd awful dusty conditions and every afternoon I turn on the air I must put on safety glasses first and have a bottle of water ready.

Juding by the part # ( F65Z-18D477-AA ), it would appear to be 2006.

Though recall ... 2004-2008 are the same gen' F-150. *2003 would be included in the gen' previous to that.

I think I disagree with the statements about all 2009+ F150s not having a cabin air filter. I found this link that says at least this 2013 does.

http://www.noln.net/article/septembe...in-air-filters

Maybe there is a difference between models, but this guys 2013 definitely has one and I will be checking my FX4 today. We've had a manure smell coming from the air ducts for months and no amount of washing is helping. I'm betting that there is a filter there that absorbed this scent.

I guess I should also comment that maybe Ford put them back in 2013 too. Regardless, the guy on the site I posted has one. I'm really hoping mine has one and that's the problem with the smell.

Disagree all you want, however, despite what "the guy on the site" indicated, there is no cabin air filter (behind the glove box or otherwise) for the 2009-2014 F-150s.

"the guy on the site" either is mistaken about the make, model, and/or year of the vehicle he has.(PERIOD)
Don't believe it? Go to the Ford/Motorcraft parts web site (www.fordparts.com), specify a (say) 2013 / Ford / F-150, enter "filter" in the keyword field and search. No where in the results will a cabin air filter be indicated.
That being said ..... Any 2009-2014 F-150 that has the heated/cooled seats does have air filtering (excerpted from the owner's manual) ...
BTW ... The service/maintenance schedule for the above filters is 30,000 miles.

EDIT: BTW(2) ... According to Ford/Motorcraft, 2004 was the last year for a cabin air filter in a F-150 (1997 being the 1st year). Caveat is that the retro' fit kit for the 2005-2008 F-150 used the same cabin air filter (part # FA-10 - Activated Carbon Filter).
