I think I disagree with the statements about all 2009+ F150s not having a cabin air filter. I found this link that says at least this 2013 does.

Maybe there is a difference between models, but this guys 2013 definitely has one and I will be checking my FX4 today. We've had a manure smell coming from the air ducts for months and no amount of washing is helping. I'm betting that there is a filter there that absorbed this scent.
I guess I should also comment that maybe Ford put them back in 2013 too. Regardless, the guy on the site I posted has one. I'm really hoping mine has one and that's the problem with the smell.

"the guy on the site" either is mistaken about the make, model, and/or year of the vehicle he has.(PERIOD)
Don't believe it? Go to the Ford/Motorcraft parts web site (www.fordparts.com), specify a (say) 2013 / Ford / F-150, enter "filter" in the keyword field and search. No where in the results will a cabin air filter be indicated.
That being said ..... Any 2009-2014 F-150 that has the heated/cooled seats does have air filtering (excerpted from the owner's manual) ...BTW ... The service/maintenance schedule for the above filters is 30,000 miles.EDIT: BTW(2) ... According to Ford/Motorcraft, 2004 was the last year for a cabin air filter in a F-150 (1997 being the 1st year). Caveat is that the retro' fit kit for the 2005-2008 F-150 used the same cabin air filter (part # FA-10 - Activated Carbon Filter).
