FX4 reg. cab

Anybody know if there's any chance of them building them again? I was thinking of holding out incase they do bring them out. I can see the larger sales are under the super and crews, so they would get them out first.

I hear you. Ford doesn't care about the reg cab. I had a 97 reg cab lariat, leather seats, etc. I wish I could of gotten package upgrades on a 10 reg cab, thats only offered in super or crew.

We've been hunting a regular cab too, make mine an FX2 loaded with nav, back up camera, console, leather.... Or better yet, bring back the lightning, 5.0 supercharged!!

I own a reg cab, there is a very limited market for upscale regular cabs. Ford is just building what they sell the most, regular cab sales are so small anyway, not a lot of point adding models to a body style that sells mainly to work outfits and cheap guys like me

Check and see if you can get the regular cab XLT 4X4 with the off-road package? It consists of the electric locker and skid plates--pretty much the essentials of the base FX-4.

I finaly found my reg cab 4x4 xlt after searching for FX4's. Had to drive 300 mi and do a lot of dealer searches. One of the dealers that I had been in contact with found it. He did not tell me where it was thou only informed me that it was the only one in the state..

This was only the secound new one I had actualy seen in person. I drove on back in 09 that i should have bought but my financial situation was prohibitive.. That and the fact that my '87 f150 was still running pretty strong.

that's probably what I'd end up going with if no word on a reg. cab. probably close to the same price too.

I just like all the extras the fx4 comes with.

Raptor is the only way to get a supercab with the 5.5' bed, and the wheel base is still 133". I had an 05 like this, really nice, but I'd still rather have an FX2 single cab.

it would be more work, but in the long run (monthly payment) it would probably be cheaper to just find a single cab short bed that 4x4 and make it your own fx4. Essentially, all a FX4 is, is leather, nav, limited slip rear end, and "premium" shocks, moon roof, and a few other things. So, say new 4x4 single $25,000 before deals are worked out at the dealership-- leather -$600, Nav $1000, shocks $400 high end, rear end $400... moon roof, not sure. BUt if they were to make a single FX4 i bet it would be up arpund $30k new...Sure it wont be as tight a feel as a new FX4, but it will be your FX4.

If you like the FX4 consider buying a supercab. It is better in the long run as it has some extra room for storage or passengers. There is zero chance of a regular cab. What you see is what you get.

I thought about that, but these days I like unmolested trucks for a daily driver. My 98 is going strong but have found anything that has been taken of or replaced has either failed or rattling or paint peeling etc. I have a new found respect for factory installed parts, and I'm usually crazy for customizing with aftermarkets.

I think its a matter of time till they bring something out to compete with the ram sport and silvy shortbox, otherwise, they're missing out.
