First ever F150 cant wait (do have question thou)

Hi guys.

I just joined this forum today, and i have been on here reading some of the posts to help me make a coupld decisions on the truck i put the order on today.

I placed an order for a gray metalic 2011 SCREW FX4 5.0 6.5 bed with lux package and rev camera.

I dont know why but im really worried about this length of this truck, i have owned a seirra with ext cab with 6.5 box, and i do know this will be about 16" longer with apr 13" bigger wheelbase.

I want to get some feed back from a few guys who own a SCREW with 6.5 box on how difficult this truck is to drive around town, and what kind of MPG to expect ???

and do you guys think the 6.5 bed will affect mpg at all?? considering im also running the 3.73 LS Axil??

THX in advance and i cant wait to pick up my truck ill be sure to post some pics.

Long wheelbase will ride better on the highway but turning in tight spaces you will get use to. Better then driving a 350 dually through a bank drive up window!

My truck is a half foot longer than that. If I have no problem with supercab with an 8' box, you'll have no problem with a truck that a half foot shorter. You also get Electric power-assisted steering for 2011 so it will be a piece of cake. Don't worry about it.

Congrats on the new truck!! You will love the FX4. For the record, FX4 comes standard with rear locker which means the axel does not have LS.

I'm not trying to be rude, but if you are concerned about gas mileage, why are you buying a full size truck with a V-8?

Cab and box size has very little effect on gas mileage. 4wd hurts mileage more than either of those factors.

EPA says 14 city 19 highway for a 4wd 5.0.
