I haven't seen one single report on these forums yet on a turbo failure. Dunno where you are getting that info, but they are blowing smoke up your ***.

Never heard of a turbo fail either (It's the future)

Your ford dealer probably has allot of 5 fours and 5 point 0's on the forecourt?

There is the problem. Suppose it was a salesman, huh? Talk to the service manager or a tech for real info. Then, go GOOGLE...." F150 EcoBoost problems" I believe there will be few problems to find......

Sounds like your dealership is overstocked with 5.0's they need to move. Either that or the service department doesn't have a clue on how to work on a EB.

I talked with two of the service writers at the dealership I bought my truck from. The only issue they have had is one seal going out on a guy that beats on his truck. The owner of that truck is one of the techs that works there who bought the truck with a goal of tearing up anything he could. It was a small in house experiment they are doing just to see how tough the motor really is. One of the service writers has bought an EB and the other is going to buy one. If the guys that write up the problems are buying these motors they can't be all that bad.

I think you talked to a guy at the dealership with an ulterior motive or a under-developed brain. Look around here and see just how few of problems people are having with this motor. Just because of the sheer number of people on here, if there was a big problem someone here would have had it by now.

Ford does not seem to be having problems with any of it's motors since 2008. I think they are doing things right.
