Wow if that 310 is true, it confirms all our worst fears about Ford as dicussed over the last 3 months. How did they get 10 hp, put a K& N on?

That said, you can't build a new 6.2L V8 and limit it to a SVT model, economics don't add up, and I suspect even if it was the gas option in the SuperDuty, I'm not sure they sell enough gas SD (historically anyway) to justify that engine, so eventually it will have to make its way to the non-SVT F-150. The BIG question is now WHEN. Some of us need to upgrade sooner rather than 2 years from now...

Maybe I can see if I can put 250,000 M on the current truck?

it's rumored that ford utilized open valve injection on the 09 trucks. that would give a slight increase in hp as well as mpg.
now if they have a competely new engine for the raptor. it is common for ford to release it in the higher cost vehicles before it comes down to a bigger line of vehicles.. but maybe it is just a svt'd vesion of the 5.4. nothing is for certain here , I have my doubts about anything until ford releases it to the public.
I personally am planning on ordering a 09 xlt reg cab 4x4 8' bed 5.4l . but if something gets offically anounced maybe it will change.

May/June Truck Trend

According ti the new May/June Truck Trend Mag, GM's new 4.5-Liter Duramax V-8 Diesel is rated at 310HP & 520 pound-feet of torque & will make it's debut in 2010 Half Ton trucks!......Hopefully the Ford 4.4-Liter Diesel PowerStroke will have simiar power specs!.........

And the pic of the raptors grill? And a 9% increase over the 5.4 should be pretty significant.

The Raptor has a N/A 6.2 Boss. It's supposed to have slightly more power than the Toyota 5.7, and quite a bit more torque from what I've read.

Yeah, that is super bad. Never noticed it before now. Wonder why it's so bad?

Love that blue. I wonder if Ford will ever address any of the concerns from the current model to the new one. If they'll ever say --> yeah we fixed the windshield cowls that break, rattle, and fade. yeah, we fixed the rear sliders that haphazardly work and rattle. Etc, etc.
