Factory power rear sliding window

My factory power rear sliding window stopped working the other day. I noticed that there is a small clip near the cable that had become disconnected & I can’t figure out where it goes. I moved the cable around a bit and it started working again.
I have two questions: Does anyone know where the clip goes & should I put some type of grease on the cable?

Thanks

Mine broke over a year ago....haven't even messed with it...kinda looked it over real quick, and slid the window closed...

I think the clip attaches to the frame...I think that is what is wrong with mine,,,the cable is not attached to the frame...some say to use graphite on cables...I've used white lithium grease on cables...

Does anyone have a picture that would show me how the clip should be attached?

I still have not been able to figure out how this clip should attach to the cable for the rear power sliding window. If someone could take a picture of it and post it I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Unfortunately if that clip has come off from the window frame, more than likely your cable/regulator assembly is toast. With the clip loose the cable looses tension from the motor. When that happens the cable wads up like a birds nest where its supposed to be coiled at the motor. There's really noway to save it once that happens.
Ask me how I know.
Because, This happened to mine a couple years ago.

If you remove your rear seatback you'll be able to see how it all works,,,,or not.

Good Luck
