I have a 2004 f150 lariat with the 5.4. Tonight I was removing the baffles from the intake and when I put the intake back on and started up the truck it sounded like it wanted to die and then gave me a engine failsafe mode on the dash. After trying to figure out what the hell was happening I realized I didn't put the air filter back in when I put everything back (**** me right?). I read a few threads about the failsafe mode and I'm wondering if I messed up my MAF. if anyone can help me figure out what is going on and how to fix it? I'm in college and can't afford to just buy parts because I think they might be broken.
