Truck has a bad squalling

Hey everyone I'm new here and I hope I'm in the right place. My truck has started to make a squalling or grinding sound. At first I thought it might be the belt, pulleys, or in that area but its not that. The louder and longer it lasts I was able to narrow it down to the starter location. Its loud when I start it up in the mornings then it fades away to a good sounding engine but as I start down the road the sounds happens when I press the gas but if I let off it goes away. Don't know if its the starter, flywheel, or what but its in that location. Any ideas what it is? its a 06 F-150 XLT 5.4

It isn't a 4 wheel drive, is it? If it is a 4-by then it could be the IWE's, if not then I don't know.

no its not a 4 wheel drive. I worked on it a little more last night, put another starter on it and no luck.
