Project No Truck Payment

i bought this truck purely for fun and to have zero truck payment. Here is a picture of when i first bought it last year for 2,500 $. I had to replace the engine which had a bad cylinder ( 4.6l) and that cost me 800$ it was a 4.6 out of a 2005 crown vic. After replacing the motor i couldnt have asked for a better truck.

i had to replace the foglights and reseal the passenger headlight, then the cleaning began

This is the new box i found for it for 400 $, the paint was exactly the same and my old box was toast, all i had to do was remove the stickers

taking off the stickers took forever but it looked so much better with the new box on

expedition console installed, the console cost me a total of 20$ !!! at a local salvage yard, i had to take it out but what a steal of a deal

Thanks, yeah it took some cutting in the front of the console but it looks great and color matches, I also had floor 4wd and had to weld up a new lever for that but it turned out good

Project no truck payment

Very nice truck for only $3700.. Doing the work yourself saved you a boat load too. Enjoy it!

My truck was a project no payment truck too since I bought it new outright in 04. But, I've been making Mod payments for 11 years now .

I also had to deal with the 4x4 lever in the front so what i did was make a completely new 4wd shifter and welded the **** back on and used the original boot and cut it down, turned out pretty good

a little more progress pictures, i had to jack the bumper up and put some shims on the driver side due to an accident the previous owner had, i got the front bumper to look pretty good, i removed the valence to jack up the bumper and thought the truck looked better with it off so i painted the area that was rusted and relocated my license plate so it wouldnt get in the way of my light

Also, i bought some 09 f150 rims and tires for it for 250 bucks, looks pretty decent on it, adding center caps later
