Power Steering Cooler, tube only or w/fins

Just had 2004 F150 4x4 w/5.4L power steering cooler replaced due to road damage. Original was tubes with a small finned radiator, dealer replaced it with tubes only, no fins. Did I get the correct one? One dealer says there was a design change, another dealer says both types are available but that the finned type is the correct one for my truck. I live in the sticks and am a little leery when I hear different things from different small town dealers. Anybody know for sure?

If I remember correctly, the one one my 2005 has no fins. I wonder if fins were an '04 design only?

EDIT: I just checked mine and it is a finned unit.

The stock power steering cooler on my 05 is a typical two row tube and fine design. You can likely google it to find what it looks like.

A tube only won't cool nearly as effectively as one with tubes. I studied the numbers in regards to electronic heat sinks and the difference was major. IMO if you're going to only use a tube only you may as well not bother to install one at all!
