Bought my first truck: 2004 FX4 SuperCab!

Hello everyone! Recently purchased my first truck before college. As the title says it's an 04 FX4 SuperCab. It has 165,000 easy miles on it, and it runs like new! I knew the previous owner as we work at the same dealership, and saw all the receipts; it has all the things fixed these usually need (rotors, spark plugs, manifolds. Etc) hoping to get another 100,000 or 6 years out of this beast. That being said, any advice for keeping these in good condition? I can take care of the exterior since I work part time as a Detailer, but as far as mechanics go I could use some advice. Thanks in advance! Here is a couple pics just cause I want to show off a little

Oh and if anyone has any suggestions for dual exhaust mufflers that are similar in performance and sound to magnaflow, only cheaper that would be awesome!

Congrats, and enjoy it. I have a 2006 FX4 supercab I bought brand new, and it's still going great and have no plans to get rid of it!

Change the fluids and filters regularly. Should run forever.

For mufflers, you get what you pay for. Magnaflows are the go-to for a good sound on these trucks.

this. cheap mufflers tend to be junk.

clean maf sensor and throttle body regularly. makes a good difference in mpg and performance

I also think that truck looks great! However, if it were mine, I'd remove the aftermarket super duty style roof lights. Unless holes were drilled to install them, then I'd obviously keep them.

I would just buy the magnaflow muffler you want and take it to a muffler shop and have it welded in with new tail pipes if funds are an issue. BTW the magnaflow cat back kits are the cheapest (price, not quality) stainless kits out there.

x2. You can buy aluminized items and cheap steel items that can make a low toned grunt, but Magnaflow is about the most cost friendly t-409 stainless grade mufflers and exhaust kits you can get.

Slight correction- magnaflow mufflers and tips are made from the better grade T-304 stainless. The pipes use T-409

Even the satin finish models? Interesting.

Thanks for the replies guys! With the muffler I like magnaflow, might just have to save up for a while and get it in a couple years. It doesn't need a muffler yet but I'm a couple years the stock one will likely be rusted out, and the manifolds are in good condition so it's not urgent.

Oh and I like the cab lights, those are staying lol

New here and looking for Ideas on F150's used. Seemed like a good place to start,if I haven't stepped on any toes.
Seen a lot of low mile 4.6 v8's fx's w/ext cab for sale. But I was told the back door with out post will rattle loose out where I am in NM.Seems like BS,any door would if not taken care of,same with the rest of the truck. I really don't want 4 door w/no useful bed. Don't tow heavy loads at all.
Opines?
