Can’t find any instructional videos on how to even remove the door panels. Does anyone have some info?

 

The upper trim should be snap in, wiggle and pull. That should expose maybe 2 fasteners plus maybe a screw in the interior grip or not. Then if like other models LIFT the panel out.

This is a guess based on my 03, it should be similar. If the windows are not roll up and down then the latch may need to be removed. I did a write up for the 03 but it didn't make it into the DIY section. You can check SCAB rear door stuck-fix

 

If it is like my 02, the plastic cable housing end breaks and won't hold the cable and it won't pull the latch. I fixed mine twice with new ford cables the first time at a cost of over $200 and the second time I fixed them for less than $10 with these available on ebay.

I was about to do the $100 per side cable replacement and came across this video.

Did both my doors a couple weeks ago, and saved a bundle. This guy shows door panel removal as well...one stop shopping for the full repair.
Just make sure the cables are free to slide inside the metal replacement ends. Mine were a little snug and needed some filing, or you could spread them a little instead.
