Random guy had me pull over tonight because...

He had to ask how my undercarriage was so clean and freshly painted looking haha.

He was flashing his high beams for a couple miles, I thought there was something wrong withmy truck or he was being crazy. I eventually slowed down and he pulled up on the side of me and said:

"Sorry to pull you over in the middle of the road, I just have to know who paints your undercarriage or how it's done. That thing looks *******ing amazing."

I though he was going to pull a gun out at first. It was night time, we were on a main road and he'd been close behind me for 10 miles.

Figured this was the only place I could post it where anyone could understand. Ha

That's all, weird night. Guess my clean undercarriage stands out!

Holy crap that is clean!! Wow 😳 I take it this is not a daily driver? It's kinda of weird some strange dude commented on your undercarriage!! Lol. Sorry
My buddys father was the same way. He had a truck that was a daily even threw the winter. And every spring he would clean and paint the frame and what not. The thing looked brand new!

It is a daily driver actually. 94k miles and been through 6 heavily salted winters. It was really awkward, Id never pull someone over for that haha.

So what is the secret then to keeping the undercarriage so clean even after 6 winters?

I pressure wash the entire undercarriage weekly at the self serve carwash bays during the winter months (November - April). Every spring, I put a coat of Rustilium from a rattle can. Other areas I treat with white litheum grease in the winter and that prevents rust.

It actually not a crazy amount of work for how nice it keeps the truck looking.

That just means your truck is too tall if you can see under it
